In-Home Newborn Session In An Apartment | Vancouver Baby & Family Photographer

Did you know that most of our newborn photo shoots take place in a 2-bedroom or smaller apartment? Many of the new parents we work with are professionals who work in or near downtown Vancouver, so apartment living is a given.

So many families are surprised that we can do an entire session in their home, without it looking cluttered or crowded. That’s because we bring everything we need to stage your space for a minimalist, non-distracting background. Props, backdrops, and other pieces are incorporated, and with an assistant accompanying the photographer, you can sit back on your couch with a cup of tea while we set up to capture magic!

This family is a great example of one of the many families we work with. With three kids in a two-bedroom, there was simply limited space to work with, but even with a baby who didn’t want to sleep for most of the session we created beautiful photos! I used to live in the sister building to this mama, which is how we knew each other before she hired me for her photos, and my apartment was an even smaller 1-bedroom 700 square foot place.. even that would have worked for photos, so hers was no issue at all.
