You may have heard the term macro photography for newborns and wondered what it’s all about. What exactly does this mean when it comes to my baby photoshoot? A macro lens allows you to focus much closer on a subject than a regular lens, which makes it ideal when capturing those sweet and cute close-up detail images of baby. Capturing images of those tiny details that change so quickly with your baby are the focus of macro photography and for good reason. Newborns grow and change in a heartbeat, so taking photos of those cherished details so you can remember them forever are incredibly special.   • Understanding of composition to draw your eye to the focal point.

  • Skills and equipment to help soothe baby to sleep.
