Spring is a perfect time to have those golden hour sunset maternity photoshoots when the weather is warmer, flowers are starting to bloom, and the foliage is starting to green. While we offer outdoor maternity sessions all year long, we always get excited when those warm and sunny days start to begin.

Crescent Beach has to be one of our favourite locations for maternity and family photography. Stunning views of the ocean and mountains in the distance, wild greenery for the perfect golden hour light, and dark rocks against glassy water at sunset help to inspire our free spirited side for a variety of moments and backdrops.

When we arrived for this golden hour maternity photo shoot, the sun was setting over Crescent Beach, South Surrey on this late August evening, and we couldn’t find parking due to an event. It all worked out in the end, because we ended up with the most beautiful golden meadow and vibrant sunset at the beach!

This couple wanted to include their dog, and there was no better place to capture this milestone then at Hadden Dog Beach in Kitsilano near their home. With sweeping views of the ocean, this session captured not only the joy and beauty of this growing family, but the stunning west coast views of beautiful British Columbia.
