Newborn Sessions with Special Mementos

Our style is simple, natural, and minimalist, but what if you have a special item or prop that you'd like to include in your newborn session? No problem! We absolutely love including items of importance in your newborn photo shoot, and we can do it tastefully while keeping true to our natural style that our clients love so much. Below are some sessions that have included a special memento!

Hats

Did you know we've had quite a few babies posed with hats? As you can see even though we've used a prop, we incorporated neutral tones and simple posing to ensure that baby is still the focus of each photo. We have included mom’s or dad’s RCMP hat on several sessions, and this past December we had a baby with a cowboy hat to honour their family’s ranch and love for horses.

Cultural or Family Heirlooms

The continuation of your love story can be included in your newborn session by adding a cultural memento or accessory, a keepsake from your wedding day, or a family heirloom. We’ve incorporated many traditional outfits, bracelets, old cradles and baby carriages.. you name it! If it’s important to you in any way, it’s so worth taking a few moments for a photo with it.

 Size Comparison

There is nothing like a plush toy or football to emphasize baby’s tiny size! If you’re a sports fan, or if you have a teddy bear or lovey from your own childhood, let’s have baby cuddle with it for the cutest photos ever.
