Newborn Session by Dani | Kim Forrester Photography, Vancouver

Our talented photographer Dani has been working alongside Kim as her assistant, Senior Photographer for her sister brand, and has taken her own bookings for our maternity and family sessions. Now, with Kim stepping away for a few months for maternity leave, Dani is photographing newborns for us as well!

We can’t emphasize enough the importance of newborn posing safety, which is extra important when your photographer is handling the baby at all to capture those sweet, curly, naked poses of baby looking oh-so-little and fresh out of the womb. It’s a specialized type of photography that you should only trust in the hands of an expert. Dani knows the ins and outs of achieving these photos while ensuring the baby is kept calm and comfortable, keeping the room the right temperature, swaddling the baby in just the right way, and ensuring our assistant is right there as a spotter the entire time.

We had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful little girl, who was only 1 week-old (the perfect age for newborn photography) and who slept for most of the session! Dani worked her magic to ease her onto her back, into her dads’ hands, onto her tummy, into a prop, and wrapped her for beautiful parent photos.
