YVONNE’S STORY

At 22 I was told I was in peri menopause by an endocrinologist. I went to him because I had stomach issues and no one could figure out why I was in pain. I’m not sure how this came up from stomach issues so it was a very distressing situation. I was told I would have a 1 in 16th chance of having kids. I cried because I thought I couldn’t have kids, I cried cause I wasn’t with anyone at that time, I cried cause I was so young and confused. At 30 I met my husband and abs in full blown menopause. 5 years later we started looking into egg donation. It was very tedious and very overwhelming and stressful. I was basically in fight or flight. Finally at 37 I had our beautiful daughter on our first IVF. The following year we had 2 more IVF procedures that ended in miscarriages. My journey was over now as I had no more embryos left. I grieved and sold all my daughters baby things and started to accept that I would have no more children. So now as I write this I’ve had some developments and I feel like my body is saying let’s try one more time. So who knows!
